Location

Known as the International Gateway between Canada and the United States, Windsor’s close proximity to major airports makes it an attractive area for both residents and visitors. Windsor provides easy access to international airports in both Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. As a border city, Windsor offers two international crossings, the Ambassador Bridge and the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, with an additional crossing being built in near future.

New Hospital

The Windsor-Essex Hospitals System is a, once-in-a-lifetime, major system reform that will transform hospital services in Windsor-Essex. The collaborative and local plan will provide patients the right care, in the right place, at the right time, for generations to come. It includes the integration of acute care in a new state-of-the-art acute care hospital; that will replace existing outdated and undersized facilities, the integration of tertiary, acute and community based mental health care, and a Centre of Mental Health Excellence.

Region

The Essex County region offers a variety of beautiful and unique locations. The region is home to rural towns, suburban neighborhoods, waterfront views and quaint communities. Essex and Kingsville allow you to escape the hustle of city life and experience rural living. Leamington is home to Point Pelee National Park, one of Canada’s most ecologically diverse national parks. Amherstburg is a small town rich with historical culture and gorgeous landscapes.
